We collect information you provide directly, information generated when you use SideTrack, and limited technical information needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive information such as racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, genetic data, biometric identifiers, or precise GPS location. Please do not enter sensitive personal information into job notes or other free-text fields unless it is necessary for your own use.

We do not sell personal information. We share information only when needed to operate SideTrack, process payments, comply with law, protect the service, or complete a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.

4. Cookies, Analytics, and Tracking

SideTrack may use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session management, security, analytics, performance measurement, checkout, and error monitoring. These technologies may be set by SideTrack or by service providers such as Supabase, Stripe, Vercel, and Sentry.

Most browsers let you remove or reject cookies. Blocking cookies may affect sign-in, checkout, or other core features. SideTrack does not currently use advertising, retargeting, or behavioral advertising technologies.

5. Retention and Deletion

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide SideTrack, maintain your account, comply with legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce our terms. When there is no ongoing business or legal need, we delete or anonymize the information where reasonably possible.

If you request account deletion, we will deactivate or delete active account data unless retention is required for legal, security, billing, tax, backup, or dispute-resolution purposes.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including hosted infrastructure, encrypted transport, environment-based secrets, authentication controls, and limited access to production services. No internet service can guarantee perfect security.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information. You may also have the right to opt out of certain targeted advertising, sale, sharing, or profiling uses if those laws apply.

8. Minors

SideTrack is not directed to children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Individuals must be at least 13 years old to create and use a SideTrack account. If we become aware that personal information has been collected from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

9. Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be shown with a new updated date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice in the app or by email.
